Plan your electrical trade pathway.
Compare apprenticeship training, workplace evidence and the separate steps to an electrical licence.
What will you study?
UEE30820 is current at Release 6. Its 27 core units total 990 weighting points, with another 120 elective points. Points are not training hours and do not set a fixed elective count.
How will work and study fit?
Most jurisdictions require an Australian apprenticeship or Trades Recognition Australia pathway for an unrestricted licence. Agree the work arrangement and how UEEEL0012 performance items marked # will be assessed in authentic workplace conditions.
Who decides your licence?
Completing the certificate does not grant a licence. Use the route for your intended state or territory and distinguish employee work from contracting.
What should you ask before comparing offers?
Ask for the proposed units, practical attendance, workplace access and an itemised quote. Confirm which costs apply to your employer arrangement and intake; a fee or completion time is not fixed by the qualification.
What do you need to decide before you enrol?

Explore work and study pathways - How will study fit my week?
How does work experience connect to study? - What will I learn?
How is the qualification packaged? - What should I budget for?
What should I compare before enrolling in electrical training? - What else must I check?
